Two thousand square metres with not one intermediate column — a 37-metre span at 9 metres clear height.

An industrial warehouse of two thousand square metres, designed and built as a steel portal-frame structure with a 37-metre clear span between columns over a length of 54 metres.

The governing requirement here was an interior completely free of intermediate columns. That decision raises steel tonnage faster than it raises floor area, but in this case it was an operational condition rather than a stylistic preference: the racking layout and equipment movement inside the warehouse could not accommodate a column in the middle.

The 9-metre eaves height is a clear figure measured below the lowest structural member, not an overall height to the apex of the frame — and that distinction is what prevents a surprise when equipment is installed.

The walls are block with a perimeter window band that provides natural light without interrupting the load path, and the roof is composite panel, combining finish and insulation in a single installation step.
