110 metres long at ten metres high — tapered sections that cut weight while holding stiffness.
A production facility for a steel angle and flat-bar line in Adra Industrial City, measuring 110 metres long by 20 metres wide at a height of ten metres.
The use is what set the design here: an extended production line needs length, not width. Hence the 110 × 20 proportion rather than a square footprint — the length serves the machine sequence and the flow of work, while the limited width keeps the span economical.
Tapered frame sections were adopted: the member deepens where moments grow and thins where they fall, so steel is spent only where it is needed. That is what reduces the weight of the structure without touching its stiffness.
The walls are built up in two heights: concrete block to five metres, where equipment movement, abrasion and impact occur, then heavy-duty sheet for the remaining height, where mechanical resistance is no longer needed and weight becomes the governing consideration.
Send the requirements and we will return a preliminary study.
